    Buying small squid

I like to use a set rod with a circle hook when I'm out in the boat, as well as my other rod. I like to use a small whole squid for the set line.

Currently, I'm paying about $14 a kg for these little buggers. Is there an outlet in Redlands or the Brisbane South region where I can get them cheaper?

Not much cheaper but $11 at artic iceworks capalaba.. Aussie Seafood House capalaba usually has em cheap and if you go north side try Morgan's seafood.

With Lucs before you hand over the money take a look in the pack to make certain you are getting what you think you are getting.

    Thanks Screamer. That's a good heads-up.

With my local bloke, I'm paying $14 per kg, but they are unfrozen. Do you think it matters?

One other thing, if anyone knows a local trawler bloke that I could talk to about buying straight off the trawler, could you please pm me? That's Cleveland, Victoria Point area.
