Transducer Cable Length - Can it be too long ???

    Hi Guys

Just needing to re-terminate the plug on my transducer (Airmar M260 to Furuno 10 Pin) cable as I think its the problem to my sounder woes.

I have scored a 10mtr long replacement cable with the right plug. I want to test first that it is the plug that's the issue, so I have cut off the plug on the old cable, and will attached the additional 10mt cable there with the new plug and test.

I will end up with a 20mt or so transducer cable length as the test unit.

My question is ... will this be too long for the head unit (585) to drive the transducer (or visa versa) ? I'm guessing it wont be an issue ... just checking before I solder the things together.

    Thoughts ??

    Thanks
