The owner of Ono island (Fiji) kept several red bass for "Staff meals " when we were there a few years ago. Charming fellow. Not.

My sister has taken years to get over it. Coral trout from the Swains Reef. She was never officially diagnosed with Ciguratera but that is what she has. Worst still is the inability to eat seafood for years afterwards.
