I already have a
2Fibreglass/speedmaster combos for the rocks
30lb Torium 30 on a Tiralejo 1200c For bait work
50lb braid Torium 14 on a Tiralejo 1000c for metals
This Custom rod is to fall under these 2 for bait work off the sand.
Looking for a custom 15lb overhead surf rod to suit a 7htmag
- Like the blanks fast
- Want Xshrink grips like the Tiralejo's
- Trigger on the seat
- All black bindings
- Black blank
- HIGH mount
- 13-15ft
- Quality guides but not ones prone to rusting
- Throwing 50 - 100ish grams I guess
- And a slightly lighter action than the 10ft Tiralejo.
Looking for a builder and a blank. CTS s8????
Would ideally like to deal direct with the builder plan the build out and look at some of their ideas/previous work!
Thoughts, recommendations, input???

What Rod Building experience do you have grave41?
Any links to websites/photos of previous work?
Ask Scallywag he just picked up exactly what your after from me. I have been building rods for years but not on a commercial scale.I dont post pictures as im useless with computers. Some pictures of my work are in the rod building weekend at Dave Boyles Place.I have been at every rod building weekend to help out including suppling blanks ,guides and knowledge but rarely am ackowledged.I will ask Ross to post some pics of his rod built to his specs. All guides are titanium silicons on his rod with basic binding to keep the cost down.
Ask Stu if i have any experience ,Pedro, Dave Boyle ,Ian and others.

Actually Graham, asking me to give you or anyone else a reference isn't something I do. After all, I do this full time and business is becoming harder, your now competing with me for the custom rod $.
Stu
Ok Stu i understand your point of view.[Fair enough, enough said]
