    hire car in fiji

    hi all just after some travel advise
    myself and wife and kids of to fiji for a week mid january but unsure if we should just get shuttle busses or hire car and if hire car how much are they over there how hard is it to get around the island.

    Im planning on doing 3 charters and i think i have to get to denaru from the shangrala resort or do the pick you up any help would be greatly appreciated

    Jsmfun where are you staying? Have a lot of relatives on some of those islands.
    I hope your planning a couple of sessions of Fresh Kava mmm Nectar of the Gods.

    Mate you need to support the Locals NEED MONEY . You can hire a Van with a Driver or Cab for cheap as (will take you where ever you want). I noticed your off to the Coral Coast nice spot. Oh one other thing, if you get an opportunity try a Dish, Crab Vakalolo Vakalolo means things cooked in coconut cream. It is truly Yum Yum. My Wife"s Family comes from a place called Taveuni and Qamea both Magical places. Enjoy your holiday mate the Smiles Are Worth A Million Bucks. Cheers Manta Man

    when we went over we just hired a local cab,its bugger all and if you tell them what time you want to get picked up they will be there waiting for ya at the said time,pretty sure we stayed at the same place...keep an eye out for happy hr times at the bars in the resort

    Look forward to the coconut cream dish's they sound nice thanks mate and was the place nice for the family rosco. Was there anywhere land based to throw some lures

    was a great place for the family,there where charterboats at the resort,they mostly trolled an got some good dollies every trip..there are plenty of places to thow lures....
    p.s Fiji bitter is similar to vb
