    Baffle Creek Tavern

    Hi All,
I'm heading to baffle creek over the break and wondering if the tavern has re-opened? Couldn't think of anything better than to pull the tinny up and have a cold beer out of the sun mid session.
Any tips on fishing / navigating the creek would also be appreciated.

My understanding is it isn't and probably won't be.
I am so happy to wake up in the morning.

    Beats the alternative!

That's a shame. I guess the floods really belted them. Cheers for the reply.

mate, it is as shallow as all buggery on low water, so just be careful. A spare prop wouldn't be a bad idea if you can get hold of one. You should get a nice feed of muddies there at this time of year.

    Cheers

From my personal experience, if you don't know it, take it easy and TAKE a spare prop........

    Thanks for the replies.
Spare prop and crab pots packed.
I'm in a 4.5m tinny with a 60hp so draw a bit more water than the average tinny.
The game plan is to tangle with the local jacks more than the bottom of the creek, but i'll let you know how that pans out.

Is there a decent map of the creek getting around?

I got a mud map from Baffle Bobs of the area which worked well for me missing the rocks underwater etc. it shows you where they are
