Hi Just back from 7 weeks in Tassie, I fished land based at 4 springs lake, Huntsman lake, Brushy Lagoon, Cressy, Meander River around Deloraine and one trip to great lake. Caught these 2 decent fish 46cm brown trout and 56cm rainbow at 4 Springs as well as a few trout up to 30cm, plenty of eels. All fish caught on worms and powerbait, Tried using the fly rod, lures and soft plastics for no success. I won't complain about the cold mornings at Scarborough Reef next winter. I froze my butt off most mornings and one special day at great lake with wind and snow couldn't tie a knot with frozen hands. I had a great time and learn't heaps from the friendly people all around Tassie.
