    New ford ranger XLT

    Hi people

I have just got a new Ranger XLT it comes standard with the sports bar, due to space issues with the garage i can not add a bull bar (which i wanted) at this stage so was looking at maybe adding a light bar or spotties to the sports bar. Does anyone know if this has been done or can be done?

I know even less about cars, but aren't spotties the vehicle equivalent of outrigger poles?

If you are going to attach them to an alloy sports bar, it should be possible to hinge them so they are out of the airflow when not required.

And if running wires out to there, a DC plug in for ice box, battery chargers might be a good idea.

Which Ranger did you choose, Dual cab?

got the XLT dual cab and they already have a plug in the tray as standard.
not sure what im going to do yet as im starting to think HID may be a better option.

You can get clamps on eBay for the sports bar or maybe these

Between 6-800 each, depending on which dealership.

If you lose BOTH for any reason...about 3-4 grand to get you back on the road.

The figures started above are DEALER figures....SOME aftermarket options can/maybe available depending on key configurations.

Glad to see you have got TWO keys.....if you lose ONE....get another QUICK.

    Cheers, Ray.
