    Re: Summer mackeral bash

So...having never actually been trolling or mackerel fishing, what should I bring?

My Rarenium 4000 should have arrived by then - got it on the MO 25% off sale the other night. Got them to chuck in a couple of Yo-zuri 140mm Hydro Magnums as well thinking they would be the go after seeing them used on a lot of the fishing shows.

In terms of rods, I have a 2-5kg Gary Howard Envy, a 3-6kg medium action Pfleuger Trion. I also have a Gary Howard 10-15kg overhead with a Fin Nor OFL30 spooled with 30lb braid.

I've got 10, 20, 30 and 40lb braid available to go on the two spools for the Rarenium. Was thinking 20lb and 30lb or taking the 30lb off the Fin and putting it on the Rarenium and putting the 40lb on the Fin Nor.

I have 60lb fluoro leader as well.

I do have a Gary Howard Envy in 1-3kg, but it is a noodle and I have a Stradic 2500 Ci4 spooled with 10lb, but it is probably way too small for the job.

    Ben.

    Re: Summer mackeral bash

Lets say 1 point for a Doggie, 5 points for a Spotty and 20 points for a Spaniard or Hoo

Beakies, Tuna and Cobes are just bycatch
