Best Chart plotter / Fish finder combo $1500-$2000

Im in the market for a Chart plotter / fish finder combo my budget is upto $2000.00. I have been looking at the following units. Just looking for a few comparisons from members who have actually used the following units.

I am more into the quality of the charting and screen size (larger) rather than the fish finding abilities, from the info I have gathered from sales people at various stores, they are all relatively similar. But from one store to the next I seem to get bombarded with reasons to not purchase one unit over another based on their own personal preferences.

    Simrad NSS7 & 8
    Garmin Echomap 70S
    Garmin GPSMAP 751xs
    Lowrance HDS-7 Gen 2 touch
    Raymarine e7d 7 inch touch

    Thanks in advance.

I have a hds 9 touch super easy to use. only reason I went with hds over the simrad is the over all look. lowrance has in built structure module

    G'day

Simrad for me, much prefer the sounder picture with these units than the Lowrance, and the knob is very very useful.

Only one way to know, go and play with them all yourself.

yep agree. they all have pros and cons
the chirp on the garmin is good
the interphase on the raymarine is pretty
the structure scan LSS module in the HDS touch is nice
the control knob"onwater ease" of the simrads are nice

the garmin has some of the more funky map options. so if mapping is more in your future.. id pay attention to the 751sx with a g2 vision card

Got a HDS9 and a Simrad nss7 on board, plan was to use the Simrad for GPS and versa, now use the NSS for sounder work, love the knob dial.
Personally I will go with the NSS. Great specials on with SS and wi-fi .
