He's not a 'recreational fisher' AT ALL , simply "sounds like" a rogue unlicensed pro-crabber 2 me
    ...imo...

Given his repeated!!! Offence history , he should HAVE BEEN given say 6mths+ parole(4now)
pending jail-time , once tax audits & possible money-trails are exhausted , and reconciled.

Ten K aint gonna ever replace the crabs he has slaughtered over the years.
Hit him with 40k plus 12 months hard labour.

Seriously some people should be allowed to be publicly beaten to death.

    Name and shame I say!

I am in full agreement on that one and what about in the past people that offended broke the fishing rules in Queensland's haven't been name EG like people got busted down at Cleveland the other week & it should be no difference when people name for drinking driving & break enter of offences
Am very serious in getting the legislation change so they can be name because am really Over

In life, start off wrong and you'll finish wrong. Put just one skeleton in the closet and you'll have to put another one in to hide the first, and so it goes.
But start off right and you'll finish right. There's no comeback when you stick to the truth - and no skeletons!

I believe a follow up post / report on the payment of said fines should also be available, either online or distributed as a media release.

Why didn't he lose the car as well? It was part of the scam. Jail him next time. Sharing a cell with Bubba for 3 months should set him on the straight and narrow

Given the latest Government attitude to changing the laws ( motorcycle riders........ ) they should put this repeat offender in jail.

Tunicator, I was surprised to see you disagreed with this post, however on reading through the posts (correct me if i;m wrong) you disagree with the penalty, and think it should be much greater?

    Cheers
