    catching Sandcrabs

I see that sand crabs are being caught and was wondering if: (1) if crabing is allowed out in front of sandgate to nudgee (are there any marine park restrictions in the area) and (2) are there any sand crabs there to be caught. I have never targeted crabs before so any tips what depth of water, what bottom features I should be looking for would be useful.

there is a zone right the way along there where you cannot fish. I suggest you get hold a Moreton Bay Marine Park Guide as it will show you clearly where it is. As for the crabs there are plenty around in Bramble bay from Redcliffe to the Brissie river. Depth doesnt really matter, but they do like sandy , shelley or weedy bottoms, not mud. They are being caught in 20 metres and also 2 metres right through the bay, now is the time to start chasing them
Dad reckons fishing is 10% brains and 95% muscle, the rest is just good luck.
