Navionics on Ipad or GPS?

I have started a thread similar a little while ago about the reasons you would use a dedicated gps plus 500 dollar navionics sd card when you can get a 30 dollar app on your phone that is just as good.. I love the app on my phone and it puts me on my spots everytime Ive got a 12 volt charger to plug it in and a normal phone holder you would find in a car to sit it in..

Just by the by, I took the tinnie out yesterday, and the ipad in the cheap plastic envelope got liberally splashed. Not a drop got in, so I'm pretty confident about using these. (Heh, your results may differ (covering arse)).

Hi,
have a look at these little bad boys, you will get GPS signal anywhere just plugs into the bottom of your iPad, and will turn your iPad into a chart plotter.
