Broadwater session tomorrow ( First post)

Heading out tomorrow for the first time fishing the Broadwater and Coombabah creek.
We put the boat in a salt water creek and go from there . I would really appreciate some tips without any one giving their secrets away.
The plan is to net some livie's and find a deep hole on the ebb of the tide. We are targeting Jew or flathead.
As myself and father in law are new to gold coast fishing we are not quite sure where to head to.
He has never landed a Jew in his boat so fingers crossed.
