Beachmere lake.. Worth a flick these days?

Hey all, I will be in beachmere this weekend for a BBQ and was wondering if the artifical lake is worth taking the rod? I used to fish it years ago back befor all the troubles that happened there an then once the cat got out of the bag it started getting hammered and I never bothered going back.

Used to be a gem of a fishing spot but i havnt been back to see how well it recovered and not even sure if they allow fishing there these days.

Any info on it would be great

Wouldn't really eat any fish that comes out of there. Since they mucked it up it just isn't the same. People fish there but never see much being caught anyway.
Better off down the Kunde street ramp at high or the new Fishermans pontoon at the boat ramp.

Hmm maybe ill give it a miss an take extra beers instead. I remember back when large tarpon, jacks an giant herring were a regular capture. It's a shame how the once healthy and fairly well kept lake has ended up
