    Somerset Bass

Took the family for a trip to Somerset Dam on Sunday. I have not fished there for about 8 years but it was good to get back out there. Good to see that the fish still hang out in the same areas and eat the same lures too. Fished the flats and caught some nice fat bass on some 10 year old sliders on a couple of old original Mat Fraser nitro jigheads that he gave me at a comp years ago. My oldest girl, who is 5, caught her first fish on a lure unassisted. That was a great fathers day present watching her battle a 50+cm fish.

Some nice Bass there. Well done mate.
    Cheers, Doug.
Love to use Preditek or Kingfisher lures or Viva Lures when I am out fishing.

Well done Perko, some nice fat Bass in that lot of pics.
Did you try any deep trolling ?
I am planning to head that way in the next month or so, any chance of flicking me a quick PM wil a couple of places to try and techniques ? My last visit was 2 years ago and the only place we consistantly caught fish was trolling deep divers over the "Hump".

    Regards
