Don't like jinki , I'm a black magic man ...60 pounds unless in a mad bite then I might go 80 but find if its quiet 9 outta ten if there are no bites you will find the thick leaders will put em off .paternoster no double, single 7 0 , will bring 6 foot sharks to the boat with rare bust offs ,mono is hopeless and the wear of 60 pound leader would be more abrasion proof than 200 mono ..60 pound braid and a jigging rod 12 kilo for some give in the braid , boat rods tend to be way to stiff for my liking

If your leader is breaking right at the hook it may be rubbing on the point of the eyelet where it meets back up with the hook which can be fairly sharp depending on the brand or hook. You can overcome this by either tying the hook onto the leader with cats paw knot pulled tight or by putting a swivel on top of the hook.
