River jew on a homemade vibe

Been pretty quiet in the estuary reports section of late so here comes one.
Had a bit of time on my hands so decided to see if I could make a good enough vibe to catch a fish. Made these up out of a milo tin lid and some flattened lead. First time in the water at the rod tip and the vibration was immediately obvious and no tangles on the drop. Second cast in the river at the spot produced a legal jewie after a nervous fight on the 8lb gear. Pretty satisfied with that and lots of other species have followed. Ben

Thanks franco. Your spot on there! I was lucky enough to be introduced to saltwater flyfishing and tying my own flies pretty early on so making things to fool fish isn't new to me. Vibes though I had never attempted before and it was certainly some nervous moments from hookup to landing and very rewarding as you say. Ben

    Cheers, Doug.
Love to use Preditek or Kingfisher lures or Viva Lures when I am out fishing.

    Ben,

Awesome mate- on both fronts - on a the fish and the manufacture of the lure. Its a bit sweeter when you ve caught on something you have made yourself . The vibes look beaut.
