Whats a furuno 620 or 627 worth these days?
g'day all... i am currently in the market for a new sounder... the one that was on my boat when i purchased it is terrible...
looking at something between $750 - $1250 max... main uses will be bay fishing for snapper and bottom bashing in about 30-40m... about 50/50 for these uses I'd say... looked at a few hummingbird models with the down imaging and that... look the goods... but am interested to hear what you blokes have, and good and bad things about different brands and different models...
PLEASE HELP GUYS... cheers!!
Whats a furuno 620 or 627 worth these days?

What is the new secret release from Raymarine in a few weeks???
Jack.
its no real secret. just an updated A series. with "Dragonfly" style babychirp and down imaging .. option.
just a sounder
sounder combo?
sounder combo + maps?
plenty of good stuff
the humminbird 598 with side imaging isnt to bad for the grand mark.
been reading about the raymarine dragonfly... there's a sale on where i am now... $850 fitted including the aus gold card... that a good deal??
i wish they were just a sounder... not really wanting the sounder gps combo i don't think...
I just bought the furuno 627. Love it.
The thing that put me off the dragonfly was the size of the transducer. I do a fair bit of beach launching, and a tranny that hangs more than 200mm out the back would lead to heartache soon enough.
Just something to consider.
Thanks
Rob
The good thing about the newer combos is you use them as a sounder primarily but you move the cursor back in history and mark the reefs to have been over automatically in the history. Sure makes going back and forward with the boat to relocate it a thing of the past.
