What are you tying - Flies from your vise

Had a bit of a look thru the forum and could not really find a thread for members to show what they have been tying......... so I thought I would start one. To kick it all off I will share 3 from the vise over the last few days.

    First is the EP Shrimp

    Second is a basic Deceiver

Last is a UV Polar Chenille Minnow

Well Dave, what I know about fly fishing ,you can write on the back of a postage stamp with a crowbar. But these things look bloody great,if they don't catch fish then I don't know what will.As I said earlier, fluff chucking looks interesting.

    PS

Scruffie Charlie should be called the Pubic fly,for obvious reasons !

Dave, I made some flies while away with work last year/earlier this year but can't get them off my broken phone - they've got nothing on your specimens though. Best two tied a few months ago were a bread fly and a mulberry looking thingo for carp made from deer hair.

Nice ties especially the beetle......what are you using for those eyes?

Re: What are you tying - Flies from your vise

the eyes are foam bean bag balls wrapped up in stocking material, I got the recipe for the fly off a website that I cant remember so I cant take credit for it, but it sure works on the bass. Leaving the little foam tag protruding above the eyes wasn't part of the original fly, but I found that it gives it a great little popping action if need be.
