you need a container that has a perforated base inside the container.. put some water in the bottom and cover it with a lid.. same as steaming it... other than that, dont microwave it.... but i used to do this for the punters on a charter boat with just caught kingfish and its fine..

Also you can make a parcel with baking paper and put things like butter and wine and herbs in the parcel and microwave it that way...

Thanks for one reason or another I've got to cook with the microwave for a month or so. And my diet is mostly fish. Hasn't come out right yet but will try the baking paper and will look at getting a steamer style dish. Thanks again

How big is the bit of fish? how thickly have you cut it? I would cut it thinly and microwave it till its just cooked as it will continue cooking when you take it out.. i would say 90 secs.. then check it after that
