Landcruiser V8 engine knock

Got a 05 100 series, its got the 4.7 petrol with 150k on the clock. Had the timing belt and water pump done 5k ago but didnt do the pulleys. On cold start I have a knockin noise that last a few seconds than the engine is smooth running. I can run it all day stop start and no problems and once every few days I get this knockin noise on cold start since the pump and belt. Its peevin me off enough to rip the thing out and go complete rebuild or just chuck a diesel in it. Anyone got one of these or had a similar noise.

Any help would be appreciated..

$20 probe stethoscope and narrow down where it is and go from there.
