    Thanks fellas. I couldnt download that software - says is requires an existing program. My sounder is and old Garmin 178C so I doubt I could transfer to it anyway.

    Just goes to show a bit of time researching Ausfish and you can usually find what you need
    Used the northern channel last Sat morning and it looked horrible at low tide. Sat there watching for about 15 mins and we nearly didn't chance it but found a moment and all was good. Coming back midday was better on high but the experience has put me off for now.
    Fish didn't appreciate all the effort we'd made either which didn't help

    Go the middle channel rob, its much easier and much more defined
