Well if the world part is for world class then you definitely filled the order.
Awesome work Pete.
Hi all,
Just thought I would share some pics of the latest world rod. This is a rod that gets sent all around the world for custom rod buildrs to add their special touch to it and I got the gig to do a weave on it.
Its for a charity in the states called Project healing waters ( Doc Ski's favorite charity)and it benifits returned service men.
So far its been to the US, Japan and Australia and I think it still has to go to France and the UK before heading back to the states where they either raffle or auction it off.
So far, Batson Enterprises has donated the blank and all components
Mark Blabaum worked his magic on the wood grips (US)
Randy Search guide wraps and finish (US)
Greg Vella with the (pics dont do justice) G Urushi between the wood split grips (Japan)
Pedro with the wild turkey weave (Australia)
Well if the world part is for world class then you definitely filled the order.
Awesome work Pete.
Cheers,
Owen
The whole world's mad save thee & me (but I'm not too sure about thee)
There are a lot of great efforts on that rod, each in its own is a work of art.
How does it come together as a whole?
And BTW, I am not a bourbon fan at all, or of weaves of wraps or anything, but that is the first weave that I have ever thought "wow". Great job Pedro!
Pete the whole rod is just outstanding craftsmanship but that weave of yours is stunning! Great job and a real honor to be proud of.
Weave stats:
79 x 138
6 Layers
1465 colour changes
Cheers
Pedro
