    Abbot Point

If the proposed dumping of dredged material is not that bad for the environment as the politicians and Bulk Ports suggest, then why do they not dump the spoil in the big green zone east of Gloucester Island. No one can fish there and it will not harm the eco system as they state. The fishable grounds will be left alone and the WW2 Catalina site will not be effected.

Fair point SB , maybe distancewise if the "material is not bad for the environment" , Mark & Associates , could look at trimming the "Big Green Zone" down a little ,to compensate for loss of area , due to limited-access restrictions required by the dumping mob , simply being cost-effective.

I think someone said it would take a couple of years to treat the spoil so it must contain some interesting stuff in it ? I bet that they will be doing the dumping at dusk as well when they get underway so as to give it 12 hours before anyone can look at it from the air.
