Deception bay fisheries closure

Hi, First time post, I hope this is right.
I wonder if anyone can confirm or deny the rumour i heard that Deception bay fisheries was closed down.

Hi, Yes the Southern Fisheries Centre at Deception Bay was closed down a couple of years ago. Most staff were relocated to the Eco Science Precinct at Dutton Park(Boggo road). The freshwater researchers were relocated to Bribie Island Research Centre. The site was sold to the Council and will become more parkland after the saltwater intake pipes are removed I think.

hmmm, saltwater people have gone inland where freshwater is whilst the freshwater people have gone to Bribie Island where saltwater is???

What beaurocratic ###### thought of that move, a bean counter no doubt.
