gold coast jack, grouper and others

a few of this years jack. these are some of the better jack caught so far, all jack were caught on zman swimmerz and headlock heads. Also managed to pull a huge QLD grouper as bycatch jack fishing 20lb braid and 20lb leader on a jonsies blind date. took almost an hour and a half to land this fish with the help of a mate. we literally had to beach the fish 900m from where it was first hooked to land it because its head wouldnt even fit in the net.
fish of a life time for me 135cm and estimated 50-60kg.
all fish were caught on the coast and were released

Cool grouper mate. That big jack in the pic below it is a stunner also. Has been a lot of high 50's fish around this year that is for sure. Great catches. Ben

Re: gold coast jack, grouper and others

malby- a 3/8th 3/0 TT headlock seems to suit most places a fish well, really depends on where you fish, depth, current and the gear you use
