that's great news Phill you have the Collie ,when I come over the salt thing I'll have a good look at it
Cheers
I have returned.
Picked up vehicle this morning.
YEP, I knew it. vehicle was not to spec.
After much discussion about the Flat Plug ( wiring which they fitted, despite my emailed " in english " instructions for 7 pin small round )... was fitted.
The explanation was that 7 pin rounds interfere with sensors and sends lights a-flashing. I acepted the offer of an adaptor.
The vehicle is quiet when driving...... all the bells and whistles and more.
Only drove it 30 k's to have canopy fitted and I'll pick it up again Friday morning.
cheers

You need the 7 pin flat plug wired for trailer brakes Phill ...... so a few of us can organise a test and tow day @ the Agnes/1770 M&G.
Fastest lap from sunlover up to the headland and back should suffice.
Glad you have the new truck - hope it's all you wanted!
Cheers,
Jim
Only got to drive it for 30k's. Gears are a little stiff,,, as expected, but other than that... very good.
Well......... I ......... don't have electric trailer brakes, nor does my Ski , box trailer etc, they all have 7 pin round.
How about a fastest lap from the Tavern to Middle Creek and back ? I know someone that holds the record

Hi! L. P.
Glad you got your new Col.
Just a suggestion.
I have had all types of plugs for boats, vans and trailers and the only ones I will have now are the big round type similar to those used on horse floats. ????.
I have never had a problem with them and was forced to fit my own when I bought my new Col.
The dealer gave me an adapter too, which I refused to use.
My trailer brakes and lights run through the big round plug and all my ancillary gear, fridges, winches, and spotlights run off anderson plugs.
Big wireing size is vital to prevent voltage drop.
As far as interfering with the "puter" B. S.

That was the tree incident, wont mention the mud incident, the water incident and Bribie incident... this new car doesn't know what its in for..
Tangles KFC
OK I have in possession a 2013 ( built April ) Colorado Space cab. 4 x 4 diesel manual.

Any reason for not getting the auto gearbox. Looks good but.
Cheers
Chimo
Ps Had the warning signs updated yet?
What could go wrong.......................
That's a very nice looking ute you have there Phill.
I hope it serves you well.
Cheers, Doug.
Love to use Preditek or Kingfisher lures or Viva Lures when I am out fishing.
I was steered clear of the auto from someone in the know.
Basically there have been a number of boxes pooping themselves after very limited work and miles. No idea of percentages , causes or specifics.
But will get that info and put it up.
I am sure there are many Autos that are still going well and no issues.
I have a 500kg payload most of the time, pull 2 ton of boat around, including Fraser Island and do about 40,000 kilometers a year. I don't need issues.
Cheers

Nice truck Phill! Be interesting to see how dust/weather proof that box is (the one on the tray that is).
What's the rear window made of? How secure would you rate the whole set up?
Being a Trekkie you had to get a Space Cab didn't you?! ....... Space (Cab) - the final frontier.
Interesting about the Auto too .... have basically sworn that the next tow vehicle will be an Auto.
Good luck with it!
Jim
Jim ..... or is that Capt James ?
Canopy is secure... 4 bolts hold it to tray and 6 bolts hold it to chassis........ OH I see... um yes. I have comp insurance.
Rear and front windows are perspex.
Canopy sits on rubber seal to tray. Doors have rubber seals. Windows are waterproof ( tested ).
I got the trekkie thing in the first part of the sentence.... no need to explain It is all ' logical '.
I do believe my next truck will be auto.
cheers
