    1770 mission

Havent fished 1770 since july 2012 so I decided when a small gap in the weather that we would race up and try smack up some red fish.
Weather on the saturday was awesome and glassy but the fish were shutdown and playing hard ball and wouldnt take anything. We did end up pulling some good reds and trout on some new ground we found not far from the ramp at all which was surprising and we will investigate this area a bit more as there was 100's and 100's of metres of fern in this area. We tested out some new products and all new products worked well even with the fish being shutdown.
Liveys on the flys will be the order of the day next trip.

Fishing can be defined as "A jerk on one end of the rod, waiting for a jerk on the other".

Nice one Vertico you make me envious, I am still wanting to catch one of those bruisers do you have to venture far off shore to find them I have a 5.5met boat with a 115 yamaha four stroke not sure if this is big enoughh to fish those waters or not. I am wanting to get up that way in the near future looks like you guys had some glassed out water in the pics.

Some nice fish there Sean. Been a while since the stabi's been for a run up there at least the 500km trip up would have blown all the leaves and cob webs out of it
    Did you get around Fitzroy?

Great stuff, Sean. Is the water filthy for miles out up there like it is in Moreton bay at the moment?
