Thread: Swains Trailer Boat Trash Trip

Re: Swains Trailer Boat Trash Trip

    Gents,
I have spoken to the caravan park and booked a cabin which sleeps 6. I can cancel this if no one wants it they have other cabins and vans for hire as well. Clairview holiday park 07 49560190.
If guys want to camp in boats, tents or on swags under the shacks awning you are welcome to. The only drama might be I only have 1 shower and toilet. Might also need to bring an extra bbq to cook on. We have enough room for boats as the boat ramp car park is in front of my place.
There is a servo about 10kms down the road and their fuel pricing is pretty good from memory. They do the best burgers.
For the tide times just add 25 mins to the Mackay tide times. The boat ramp is tide dependent and needs about 4m of water to get big boats on and off. About 2hrs each side of high tide. If it blows up there is another ramp in 1 of the creeks to get boats back on trailers.

If anyone wants to have a chat about Clairview send me your number and I will give you a call.
    Cheers Brett

Spent the arvo trawling the plotter in the boat looking at the planned area.. Not sure what the Garmin maps show but I know the navionics maps don't show anywhere near the detail of the new Furuno maps!!
Anyway.. Found a lot of perfect looking ground for us to try.. All a few kms off Paul Reef in a bit deeper water so hopefully will fill our red quota!!
Yeah I'm keen.. what of it!! Haha

So you won't be needing those boat seats after all

Gotta make hay while the sun shines Brett.

Just make sure the 1770 M & G dates do not conflict with work, or train up a subbie in the mean time.

    cheers

I have told captain bill/2ic I'm out. Would really really like to go, but have too many things on the hot plate to get away for a week then. Real pity as there are some really good personalities going.
