Advice on fishing Cabarita beach (landbased)

I am going down to Cabarita beach with the family on Sunday for a week, and am wondering if anyone could give me tips or hotspots for fishing down that way.

I will be landbased but any information for down that way would be appreciated.

    Thanks

The best idea would be to give/or drop in and see Bevan at Caba bait and Tackle in Hastings St.
He will put you in the picture.

It has been blowing a gale on the beach lately.
If the wind drops try high tide then outgoing to low.

One spot that might be ok is the reserve carpark about 500meters before Boganbar, you can walk down to the beach and there is a few holes there at high that hold whiting bream and dart.
Cant say I have seen or caught any good sizes over the last few week.

I have not fished the rivers around there and assume they would be under a bit of traffic due to the Christmas break.

Find some pippis on the beach and use them as bait, they are yr "goto" bait atm, don't bother with frozen mullet when you can get a few pippis, mind you there is a bag limit of 50 but there is no way you will need 50.

If no fish its a great spot for a swim as the runout forms a big pool just out front from where you walk onto the beach.

    Might be some help.
