    Bass & Yellow Belly

Fished the brissy River early Sat morning ( 4.ooam start)
Spent the 1st 3 hours casting poppers , managed approx 5 bass each , no big ones among them max size 35cm.

Spent the rest of the morning casting sub surface lures & spinner baits , but the action had slowed right down with only a few coming on board .
Trolled for a short while , brother managed to catch a nice little yellow of about 45cm .
All fish release to catch another day .Click image for larger version.

    Nice fish there buddy.

    Well done.
    Cheers, Doug.
Love to use Preditek or Kingfisher lures or Viva Lures when I am out fishing.

What size and type of lure or spinner was you using to catch Yellowbelly?

I'm trying to get some landbased around Nobby.

    Cheers, Bondy

    Re: Bass & Yellow Belly

Been lucky enough to catch several yellers since xmas ( before the latest flood)
All caught on 1/8th spinners gold colour all on the troll (the 8th weight appears to be just heavy enough to get down in the strike zone without snagging up too much when trolling in my canoe on no 1 speed , as for the colour I tend to stick with what has worked in the past , so gold may not be that critical ) Wheres Nobby?
