Hey everyone, just to let you know a large cobia tastes just as good as a small cobia. You get a good return of fillet too, high yeilding fish. They have a very broad diet which is why they taste awesome. One of the few fish in the ocean thats gets better with age. Their flesh is marbled with fish fat, especially the belly area, a bit like wagu steak. I never get sick of eating cobia, it freezes very well so i have a summer stock to last me until next season.
As for when and where Mal, obviously not sharing too much there, but mainly on live bait.
