Noosacat 2700
PM sent
Im now leaning towards a Leisurecat 7000. With all the info here im so confused.
I sent Captain Seaweed a PM asking how he is liking the cat after being a mono hull owner for all these years.
I hope to hear some good points about it.
What do you guys think about the cat and I know after I post this, it will start a debate with monos and cats but debates are good, because alot of information can be learnt from different people.
Thanks
love to have this in my yard

Unless building something custom alloy with someone like Col from Origin I would be looking at importing a boat. Captian Seaweeds Glacier Bay 2680 is a great example of what is out there. I would be looking at them along with something along the lines of an

Just need a bit more oomph on calm days to get their quicker but you have to work out how many days you can run hard and comfortable.
I've been looking at the new Noosa Cat 3000 series.
Looks very nice with twin 225 hp.
Going to have a look at one next week to see just how big they are.
My next issue will be buying a vehicle to tow it.
Those new lightweight 200 yammies are a four cylinder engine Im going the big six might as well even though are heavier but more torque.
200 would be heaps. 225 should push out 100km/h roughly. these are awesome machines and absolutely eat the sea. If I had my pick of any boat. 3000 series on trailer, twin diesel shaft drives, autopilot, cruise about 23knots just perfect. Diesel inboards reduce the fuel bill to only 1/4 of the outboards usage!!!!!!!!. which means longer range etc and better service intervals although slightly dearer to service
Wouldn't it be nice to have the diesel outboards avaliable. Perfect mix for long range cats
We had Col from Origin built us a Genesis 6.6m which is a NZ design. We cannot fault the build quality. Col also has two other styles: Evolution & Axis which can be lengthened to suit. Give him a call
