Thread: CFB

    CFB

My god I cannot give my money to those people anymore.

I am sorry but the redundant brain space of staff, the security checks, the poor service, the lack of stock.

I cringe when I open my wallet to give money to a shop that treats me as thus.

I am broken and want no more.

Please FCB die a slow a painful death and transfer what is left of the company to selling wicker cane chairs.

Are these stores franchises, like I believe the 'place that cannot be mentioned' stores are?
Would explain a lot; generally cheaper to employ family labour, who may not necessarily be fishing orientated......
I'm imagining the margins are very slim.......especially once the franchise fees and rent are paid......
Strangely perhaps, the one in Coffs has excellent stock and friendly, if not necessarily well-informed staff. Mind you, the competition here is monumental!

What does franchise have to do with it?

    Same prices.
    Same offensive security messages.
    Same poor selection of stock.

    Same sleepy agitated staff.

    Rubbish store, rubbish service.

Made me walk out the door more than once to spend money at a good tackle shop.

The sooner they go the sooner we will have better options.

FCOL the reel selection is below par along with everything else.

Nup MRD.....if they go that is just one step closer to a monopoly, IMHO.

Hey, I went to my local one today (Maroochydore) to buy a $400 epirb. I waited and waited and waited then walked out and went elsewhere and was served straight away with great service. It does leave a lot to be desired!
    Cheers

    Re: CFB

Hey, Rays is owned by CFB! Its the same company. By the way CFB is not a Franchise, its a public company. There is no one owner. Steve Doyle is the head honcho and they are all run buy managers. Supercheap/ Rays / Rebel Sport and CFB are all the same company. One of the alternatives is any of the TackleWorld stores who have no connection. Cheers
