    Re: 2013 Ausfish Annual Agnes Water / 1770 M & G.

    Dear 1770 2013 Attendees,
As now the nominated “orgyniser” for the “cook off” I would like to run this past you all.
Instead of running 4-5 solo cooks at the same time, was thinking that the dishes could all be themed together to create a “meal” of sorts, the individual would be responsible for the dish they nominate and thus be voted upon once severed, the other cooks would act as sous chefs and waiters/saboteurs/vote collectors for each part of the meal assisting the cook of that dish. Once food consumed and voting complete move to the next, obviously some parts of the meal will be needed to start way before serving so it will be up to the “cooperation” of the cooks to sort that.
So thinking standard stuff, starter, entree, main (this can consist of a couple of dishes to reduce work load) and a desert.
And now we have a great venue sorted, this should be a huge event with food, drinks and “the Deckies” raffles, will be a night not to miss.
Remembering that the cook off is not about the glory of winning the trophy (cause it is) but help raise funds for the VMR.
Dress up will be compulsory for all cooks/waiters, so I am not the only silly noob looking like a w%$&*er
All feedback is welcome but all negative posts will be deleted by mod 69 immediately...
Also I’ll just throw this out here, if there are any primary producers/suppliers that may be able to help with donations of ingredients (dishes could be worked around produce) would help as we are probably look at numbers like last year, 80+ people so would help with upfront out lay.
I will nominate Murf as definite starter cause he is defending his deep fried catfish, I will also be in it, so looking for as many nominations that want to be a part of this historic 1770 event, I will also nominate Mrs ExtremeBoonie as Head Waitress...(separate donation accepted).
    Cheers,
    Chong

Is it worth sending a pamphlet to the backpackers a few weeks in advance offering free trips out to Musgrave as a trade for topless waitressing ?

You lot are starting to sound like me a few years back as well, although I wouldn't have posted half the crap you lot have put up here recently, due to the fact that I am a nice bloke, and have respect for the Family type that may logg in from time to time to perouse some of the things we put up on Ausfish.
