A long time ago I used to dig them up around some of the drains that ran off Bald Hills Ck and also up a small drain downstream from the Dohles Rocks ramp (towards the bridge), used to get heaps but that was over 10 years ago. Not sure if it's still legal in those areas, better check 1st.

I used to dig the my with mates 30 years ago behind Nashville High ( Brackenridge now). Straight out of the mud banks. Not so GREEN now but good fun. Big fat buggers. $9 a packet the other day at the old bloke near the skate board bowl in Deagon. Much easier but not as much fun!!

    Cheers....Terry....

Last years floods have replenished some good mud banks on the inside exit end of many besds in the river all the way from Petrie to Dohles. As a young fella I used to dig mine from that small creek just upstream of DWB.
