    pine river season opener

Went down to use my father's day fishing pass. and was all cocky about reproducing my "first cast " fish from last season!
Tried my favourite spot and old faithful chubby , but it wasnt to be.
Didnt have to wait too long , getting a 40 odd in the first handful of attempts.

Ended with 6 fish for the 2 or so hours, getting out a little early as it was too bloody cold!

Nothing spectacular , but nice to spend some quiet time on the river , and the fish were young and healthy.
Ended up pulling most of them off the same log, retrieving the chubby deep ever so slowly to just bump it over the snag from behind . they would make repeated timid bites and you had to kind of wait for them - a bit different anyway
    Cheers
    Brendan
