    Which hook for soft plastic

    Hi all,
Old mate gave me some softy's to use without hooks for them. I've never used them before so could anyone tell me what size and type of hook to buy?

They are 3" prongs and 3"swimming mullet plastic's and we mainly target flathead, bream etc.

    Thanks

don't just cut the plastic up in to cubes and use it a normal bait setup.
    ask for a jighead?

fishclaus those should catch you a flatty or 2. look for jigheads - 1/4 , 1/8 or 1/12oz weights with size 1, 1/0 or 2/0 hooks. TT or Nitro will do.
Normally around $8 / packet. You should get about 6 or 8 in each pack.

general rule of thumb is the shallower the water the lighter the jighead.

Neither have I but the jury is still out on how effective that might be for you ( probably not the best suggestion I have ever read on here)
