(Fraser Island) Hook point & Nkgala Rocks Passable on low tide???

Heading to Fraser on Fathers day with a few other tradies and just wondering if anyone has been up lately that might have an update on both Hook point and Nkgala Rocks. We are taking a 4.5m alloy up this year and Don;t really feel like bouncing it over the inland road from the barge??

was there about 8 weeks ago and it was fine. Things dont change all that quickly down the bottom end. but...there are some big sticks around there which you have to avoid. Dont know about ngkala

Certainly no getting along the beach in front of Ngkala, though there has been times over the years when it's been dry sand in front. The bypass track would be very difficult if it's dry towing the tinny with the little uphill deviation that is there atm to get around the erosion at the southern end. Getting back again would require a lot of serious bouncing to get off the beach at the northern end of the bypass track - if it's possible at all when towing. Browns was well out when we were up there in May also. No troubles with any of it without the tinny though - we managed on a near full tide at night with a lot of rock crossing. Is trees down at the cape at the western point of the blow that don't allow you to get past on fullish tides. Few rotting carcases there as testament to that.
