Daiwa Steez Chilli dog
I'm looking at this rod to retire my 5 year old Berkeley dropshot 8-12kg. Matched with a Hyper Certate 4000. Mainly use it for larger critters in Moreton Bay. Snaps, jewies, cobes & spots. Any feedback would be appreciated.....

Give a man a fish & he will eat for a day !
Teach him how to fish
& he will sit in a boat - & drink beer all day!

Dantren, I had a Tornado, Thunderstorm & Power Junkie with Exist reels, I don't think you will be dissapointed.

Poles apart mate, I have the chili dog and hot dog, use rods on everything from jews, kings, tuna, and reds in SA, great rods, sometimes you need to check them for guide misalignment. Great rods that load sweetly. The hyper is a good match .

Thanks guys. I've got a good price on one, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
I managed to try one a few weeks ago chasing longies. I hooked up using a 4" slider, but pulled the hooks before I could get a feel for the rod.
The pricetag is obscene but hell, it's only money!
