OLD FUEL,need some feedback
Have 94 Johnson motor, removed vro..havent been on water for 6 months due to work or weather. when at shift work it is great for fishing ,when not at work ,yea u know story..started motor the other day, went first go,disconnected fuel line and ran dry as per usual. fuel smells like it should,2 stroke and petrol..tank holds 150 litres,it is about 100 litres full.. I was going to top up with premium fuel and take boat out in the next week. So initial fuel is 6 mnths old.

Mate the issue with old pre mix is all of the high octane component of the fuel would have evaporated leaving a much richer 2 stroke mix in tank.
Working out how much oil to put in to batch up new tank is always hard.
Using premium fuel to top up will defiantly help to be honest if your staying local and dont want to dump fuel run the 100l down some more before topping up, plug fouling would be your only issue if it has no water

Your motor will digest the old fuel with no problems, just will not run as crisply as with fresh fuel.
