soft plastics and beach fishing

Just wondering if anyone has got a suggestion for rod and reel combos I could use for fishing soft plastics off the beach. Thanks

Same outfit you use for bream fishing in the rivermate. Ive got a couple of old threads on here re beach fishing and SP, but basically use the same outfit I use in the river. Its more about where you fish on the beach

Hi search some of my old posts too, my general setups are rods around 9'6" I use loomis steelhead rods as they are made to cast light lures a friend used a fly blank to make his own I find the longer rod essential for fishing sp's in the surf, 6lb braid leaders to suit target species with reels around the 2500 to 4000 size I use shimano aspires. I also use the same set up to fish 14g slugs. Hooking surf species like tailor salmon and jew on sps on light gear is great fun.
