    North Pine today.

    Tried my new fitout today.....see here: http://www.ausfish.com.au/vforum/sho...63#post1379363

    Never trolled before but pulled 6 bass in 2 hrs. This was the first which I kept as I ain't eaten 'em before and 2 of the others were bigger still. he's a bit knocked about as there were 30 redclaw in the esky with him

    Yayeee..

    well done, must have been a good feeling catching them in a way you havn't tried much before.

    The pattern of that lure reminds me of the "green mackerel" design.

    I caught lots of Black Bass and Barra with that colour scheme in PNG - maybe it's fresh water thing.

    what type and how long is that lure and how fast do you troll them. Might be one to try for my young boys they are to small to cast lures so trolling is the way to go

    Mate, I don't know the name of it. Got it from a bargain bin for $5. It's 8cms long and I was trolling on slow speed which is about 3 knots.

    You've done well trolling up some bass on NPD, been tough going out there for quite a while on lures.

    Keep that lure safe, usually once you find one that works out there it is good for a few trips.

    Thanks for that feral. I was trying bait (shrimp and small herring) for a couple of weeks but couldn't get past the turtles. I was picking the fish up on the sounder but didn't have any luck hooking 'em.
