you want quality ,mate. I was watching guys in raincoats dredging up 50mm prawns, and loading them into buckets in a frenzy. That was enough for me to pack up and go home. This is what you want, good quality large prawns-

They were caught saturday morning at the powerlines , in the rain.
Good quality prawns. Around the 20cm.
Sunday they were gone. I reckon they've moved north into deeper water.Or,Rudi's.

Yep Bondy, can put up with the odd day/night on the water with driving rain and winds to match. But it makes for a long night huddled under the tarp with no sleep or rum or fish !!

Next boat will have a cabin, I 'm getting old and soft !!

I tried Nudgee on Wednesday, and Scarborough, Newport canals and the Pine yesterday and did not get a single prawn anywhere. It was so bad that whenever I'd stop and have a cast the yellow raincoats would come charging after me!

    They'll probably be on today!

I went out this morning with Popgun 19 and tried Woody Point, outside the yellow beacon at the mouth of Cabbagetree creek, Nudgee, the mouth of the Brissy River and Boggy Creek for two greassy prawns. Talking to a few other prawners who also got the doughnut.
Ended up buying a kilo of King Prawns from the trawlers in Cabbage tree creek for $15.00 a kilo.

    Cheers
    Barry
