    Hey All,

    Does anyone know what species this is? Caught in skippers canal Bribie Island.

    looks like a juvenile cow fish. in the toad fish family.
    fishing's as simple as 3 P's - patience, perserverance and PLASTIC!

    we just call em a green sea toad, when they are bigger and in plague proportions they bite your hooks off even bite through your hook without you even feeling it, you just wind in and there is no hook or only half of one

    yep. smaller variety of what i call a 'green sea toad' or 'finger dismemberer'.
    Never seen one that small though.

    Had that happen a few times over the past weeks, so it would explain a lot...

    These buggers are in the Pine at the moment sitting in one particular area where we fish for flatties...make mince meat of soft plastics.
