Yeh... we took our kids up that way too for easter and it was just too noisy. Talk about busy compared to the old days.
1 flatty is all my youngest caught, but it was his first on a plastic so he was pretty happy.
We spent every Easter with some great friends, for the last 8 years at Noosa. Fishing and crabbing is high on the agenda, amongst the jetskis and water skiers. Worst time of the year for fishing trip on the river but the company makes up.
This year was very unusual in that we caught the biggest muddies ever but all female. Ended up with a feed on only two legal males. Bream and whiting were scarce and of just legal size. Got a couple of jewies on dusk just legal again. Also unusual that we came home with all our pots.
Fished the sand banks off Munna Point for whiting but after half an hour of no bites I decide to pull stumps for the afternoon when a 38cm Flathead hit my daughter's bait as she reeled in. She was stoked.
We tried the same area again the next day but to no avail.
Sorry no photos.
The bats in the dusky sky were unreal.
Cheers
