Just wanted to tell you about something that happened while fishing today.
We were out in 100-105m, bottom fishing, with a drift of about 1.2-1.5kts. We were catching Pearlies and mowong. I got snagged on the plug, my fishing mates had lines down and my TLD25 couldnt put enough pressure to break it free, I was loosing line so I released the drag and pulled a few meters of line off and wound it around a cleat, expecting my knots to give way quickly under the strain of the drifting boat. The line pulled tight and we stopped. We stayed stopped/anchored for a good minute or two, until it let go. When I wound in I found that the 50lb braid, with a bimini twist tied to 10 foot of 60Lb mono leader with a Tony Jones Leader knot, tied to a snap swivel and the first 50cm of my 60lb double dropper hook rig was ALL there. It had broken where my mate tied the first dropper loop.

Has given me renewed trust in my knots.
