Our long awaited trip to Stanage Bay (and hopefully the swains) in May has been postponed for a few months on account of our intrepid Skipper breaking his back in a couple of places. A couple (2) of us are still thinking of still heading up for a week or so but need a few more bodies in the rental house. It works out at about $40 per person per night and the joint sleeps up to 6. It has two shower/toilets and ample parking for boats behind the house. I will have to let the real estate know ASAP if anyone is keen.
The place is famous for huge Muddies and the Islands are close by and hold Trout, Reds and other reefies. The Creeks hold Barra, Grunter and Fingermark and the areas inbetween are home to BIG Black Jew. Its a few hours north of Rocky and has about 100k of dirt road into it
