Wooyung van park should be good now there is no main road running past it. Beach is generally good and well defined.
Jack.
Thanks jack now i have been told she wants to take the dogs lol So now i have to look for a dog friendly camp.
The Caravan Park/campground at Wooli is pretty good. Grassy campsites right on the riverbank - fish from the tent if you like .
100m to the pub, Harry's Chinese Restaurant at the Bowls Club.
Close to beaches, good land based fishing at the rock walls near the river mouth.
Dogs allowed (not in school holidays).

Billy, South Ballina is another caravan park that takes dogs.
Direct access to 25km of 4wd accessible Beach, short drive around to Ballina South rock wall.
Their website states "We are the MOST pet friendly village in Australia .."

Most of the rustic style of camping down this way is National Park, this rules out dogs.

Arrawarra is a fantastic place!!! Followed by RedCliff near Brooms head & you can throw in Brooms Head as well. Broken Head aint that bad either near Byron.
Ballina South.... great location..... But thats all I'll say bout that!

Billy you just wanna get your SPs as close to the Clarence as possible. Look up Woody Head, Iluka and Yamba. Theres a lot more in the way of shopping at yamba for the missus while your fishin.
